Allison's Story
"At the time of my second pregnancy, I was living in Pittsburgh with my husband and my oldest son Brady. We had no family in the area and I became pregnant with our second son. The pregnancy was hard and I carried him all the way to 36 weeks.
One morning, I woke up and had not felt him move. I drove myself to the hospital where they did a stress test. They were able to find a heartbeat but soon after that the heartbeat fell off. They rushed me into an emergency C-section and delivered our baby boy, Jordan.
Jordan was born not breathing. The doctors were able to revive him and fly him to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. They put him on metabolic life-support where he continued to decline medically. His organs slowly began to give up and only 46 hours later, he grew his wings.
I was on my way to see my baby boy and hold him in my arms for the first time when I got the dreaded phone call that he had lost his battle. His birthday was November 16, 2011 and he passed away on November 18."
